Update: Refund processed and handled by Missy. She stepped in to correct any and all issues stated in my review. Mix ups are going to happen, it's how they're handled. After a small amount of poking, my issues were addressed and corrected. Absolutely love the comforter.
I fell in love with a Waverly comforter set and pillows from a competitor of Home Decorating Company. That company held my order for 11 days before telling me it was no longer available. I had painters and carpet installers ready to work and had to reschedule. I found Home Decorating Company that had the same item from Waverly and ordered it, letting their live chat know the urgency. They were initially great - said they would look into a shipping upgrade and get back to me .3 days later my item still hadn't shipped out. I contacted live chat again and they were unhelpful saying "I see the notes, but we never promised anything". I get a call this morning from them stating that the pillows were no longer available and asked if I just wanted the comforter. I get it that companies don't want to carry alot of stock in their warehouses that may or may not sell, but this is kind of unfair. I asked them to try to make this right by offering me free expedited shipping for the inconvenience (if I found a comparable item) and they said they can only offer to pay for half and I would take the hit for the other half. Not a fan of how they treat customers. I think they can benefit from some customer service training.
Have had too many issues with my first, and ONLY order. One item on my order was on back order and after waiting for 3 months to receive the comforter, all discounts originally including at time of purchase, were retracted without explanation. To top it off the wrong comforter was sent. I have clearly spelled out the entire scenario, with proof of billing and screen shots of charges, all to be told I am wrong. THIS IS THIEVERY. I am still exerting effort to obtain the money that is rightfully mine. BEWARE.
Ordering bedding on line can be risky but our order was received exactly according to the delivery emails that we received. The product was as pictured and the quality was beautiful. I needed to reach out to Customer Service for a particular reason and Sam from customer service was both efficient and caring regarding my inquiry. I would highly recommend them!
I have been on Google for over 10 years and never felt the need to write a Google Review. That's until my experience with the Home Decorating Company. We returned a product WITHOUT opening it. Upon return, we received an email from the company accusing us that we burned the product! And we would not be receiving a refund. Their customer service was rude and inept. This is one of the worst companies I have ever dealt with. DO NOT ORDER a product from this website unless you want to fall victim to a bunch of low life scam artists.
Changed my mind but couldn't stop shipping. I refused delivery and they tried to charge me a restocking fee. I disputed the charge thru my bank to get my money back. They are now harassing me by phone and email after my bank took the payment back. They are violating the Fair Credit Billing Act and I sent them an email telling them that with excerpts from the U. S. code.
